Filos Estate is the result of a visionary new team of emerging growers and producers in the Amyndeon viticulture zone, on the southeast slopes of mount Vitsi, in the area of Xino Nero, where an exceptional winegrowing zone has been emerging.

Filos mission is to bring to the international spotlight the lesser known but very promising sub locations of the Amyndeon viticulture zone, producing the best possible fruit and diverse wines from indigenous Greek varieties as well as exploring the potential of international varieties in the region.

This young team has reached out to well establish producers in the region that open-handedly and with generosity supports this venture with knowhow from vinegrowing to winemaking. They share the same vision of exposing the Amyndeon Appellation and its unique features to the international wine market.

We produce wines that are expression of the local terroir, with a definite sense of place, but at the same time modern, fun and of great value for the consumer.
Filos privately owned vineyards counts 5ha with additional contracted vineyards self-managed to secure the highest level of produced fruit.

Respect for natural resources and humans actively involved in this venture is in the blood line of the Filos team. Viticulture is responsible and of low input, certified sustainable, with no herbicides used. Precise viticulture practices are followed and the latest technology available is implemented to follow weather and crop management under these strict lines.

Future development and improvements of practices are priority. With this in mind Filos participates in a number of national and international research and development projects, from vineyard management to xinomavro clones development and winemaking.
