Bright clear straw to light yellow color with greenish hints.
Clear nose. Intense but balanced, fresh, and crisp. Typical Malagouzia. White floral, white stone fruits, pear with a hint of citrus zest and spice. Mineral with flint and wet gravel.
Dry, fresh, and crisp. Medium to full body palate. Flavors of citrus zest, peach, and white sweet spice. Complex with depth but clean and elegant.
Long finish, dry and fresh.
VARIETAL COMPOSITION: Malagouzia 100%
VINTAGE: 2020
REGION: Amyndeon plateau. Amyndeon viticulture zone.
VINEYARD: 30ha single block vineyard situated at an altitude of 625m.
SOIL: Sandy, sandy-clay over limestone with excellent drainage.
CLIMATE: Semi continental climate, with cold winters, with substantial rain and snowfalls, and cool, relatively dry summers.
VINEGROWING METHOD: Sustainable viticulture with zero use of herbicides. Double cordon, grafted rootstock. Application of Regulated Deficit Irrigation (R.D.I.). Application of Precision Viticulture.
HARVEST: Manual harvest in small picking baskets with a maximum of 15 kilos.
YIELD: 65 HL/ha, post to green harvest & selection.
DENSITY OF PLANTATION: .5.900 shoots / ha.
VINIFICATION METHOD: Destemming and light crushing. Skin contact for 3 hours, controlled alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tanks with cooling jackets, maintenance of wine “sur lies” for 3 months with regular stirring.
DEGREE DAYS: 1.683,10 April – September.
TOTAL PRECIPITATION: 380,92mm. April – September.
ANALYTICAL DATA: Alcohol: 12,98% vol. Titratable Acidity: 5.72 g/l. Residual Sugar: 0,60 g/l. pH: 3,51.
